Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles
Breezes Resort, Spa & Casino
April 17 - 24, 2010
Sitting between Bonaire and Aruba is the newest diving hotspot in the Caribbean. Curaçao won high rankings in Scuba Diving’s Top 100 Dive Destinations. The island is also listed in the 2009 Sport Divers’ Worlds Best Diving and Resorts as one of the worlds 48 Incredible Destinations and Ranked number
4 in Top Caribbean & Atlantic destinations category.
So, our decision was easy... We’ve booked an incredible week of fun in the sun and water at Breezes Curaçao -- an all inclusive resort, spa & casino. 12 boat dives complimented with unlimited shore diving should take care of those “It’s been a long winter!” blues. This trip will be hosted by Y-kiki instructors Vince Via and Mike Baker and they guarantee a week of long bottom times, lots of laughs and pool side relaxation.
Destination Profile:
The best part of exploring Curaçao is that it feels undiscovered, like an exclusive hideaway. One of the tiny “ABC Islands” – Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao – this secluded slice of paradise is the Caribbean’s best-kept secret. Curaçao’s ethnic inhabitants -- the Arawak, Dutch, Spanish, West Indian, Latin, and African -- have created a rich heritage and thriving culture. The Dutch influence on Curaçao is as omnipresent as the centuries-old colonial buildings. The island’s rich history comes alive in the stunning architecture to be seen all across the island — especially in its capital city, Willemstad. Located in the tropics, just 12° north of the Equator, Curaçao offers a warm, sunny climate year round. The average temperature is in the mid 80s.

Enjoy more than 60 dive sites, 100 feet visibility, mild currents, lush coral gardens, and wall, wreck, and shore dive options. Many of the best diving spots are within swimming distance from shore. And we plan to check them out!

Breezes Curaçao:
Breezes Curaçao sits on 1,500 feet of pure white sand, beside crystal clear waters that have beckoned scuba divers from around the world. And though the island is located just off the coast of Venezuela, it remains a largely undiscovered gem in the Caribbean -- you’ll feel like you’ve entered your own private sanctuary. Which is not far from the truth, since the resort is adjacent to a pristine Undersea National Park. We've booked all oceanview rooms which offer a variety of views to the sea. In addition to standard furnishings, these rooms also feature a lounge chair, king size bed or two queen size beds.
